In 1917, Babe Ruth started on the mound for the Red Sox. He walked the first batter on some questionable calls behind the plate, and the trash talking immediately ensued. The Babe was told to shut up, The Babe did not shut up, The Babe got tossed, The Babe beat the daylights out of the umpire. All with Ray Morgan on first and no outs in the first inning.

Ernie Shore takes the ball. Ray Morgan immediately gets caught stealing second. Shore retires the next 26 batters. Ernie Shore pitched a perfect game after Babe Ruth got ejected for getting in a fistfight with the home plate umpire.
